Emotional Duplication — Rudy has the ability to split himself into two distinct "people," referred to in canon as Rudy One and Rudy Too (spelled 'T-o-o,' because he's Rudy too). Rudy One is the face he usually shows the world: brash, overconfident, vulgar, and socially easy-going. Rudy Too embodies the parts of himself Rudy One would rather cover up: he's sensitive, neurotic, and quicker to act on his emotions in dramatic fashion. Both of them are essentially him, they just express his personality in different ways.
When separated, both Rudys have an innate approximate sense of where the other one is. They only share thoughts and memories when they're together in the same body.
• Strengths:
Rudy is highly sensitive. He has a lot of issues with channeling and dealing with his own emotions, but when he can think past the noise and bother to give a damn, he's capable of being keenly sympathetic to other people.
He's quick-thinking and quick to adapt to new information, which helps a lot in a world populated by zombie cats, telepathic dogs, and people with any sort of power you could think of. He may not always react calmly to sudden change, but he can be reliably counted on to hop to and turn on a dime when he has to.
He can also be counted on to charge in headfirst when there's a decided course of action. Rudy is bold, or at least he likes to be seen that way. He wants to be thought of as the sort of person who spits in the eye of fear and adversity. Sometimes he succeeds.
• Weaknesses:
Rudy is an anxious person who can barely stand silence or boredom. He'll often make noise or do something to call attention to himself just for the sake of having something happen. Even when something is happening, he might make a scene if he's not interested in what's going on.
He's preoccupied by sex to the extent that any attractive woman in roughly his age range who spends enough time talking to him will be hit on: shamelessly, repeatedly, and often clumsily. He also just generally talks about sex a lot.
The flip side of his boldness is a tendency for reckless behavior. Rudy doesn't lack a sense of self-preservation, but even the normally-cautious Rudy Too will act without thinking of the consequences when he gets overwhelmed. Rudy One's recklessness is more an extension of his need to release nervous energy.
• Nightmares:
Emasculation — Like any overcompensating young man, Rudy fears the loss of his manhood. This could be taken literally — one episode of Misfits involves a supernatural STD that almost makes his penis fall off — or figuratively. Rudy's practiced the art of making a buffoon of himself and playing the "I meant to do that" card, but actual humiliation still has the potential to cut deep.
His Dark Side — Once upon a time, there was a third Rudy. Unlike the other two, the third Rudy's extreme behavior was the opposite of reckless: he was calculated, driven, and totally absorbed with violence to the point of sadism. That particular Rudy may be gone, but presumably, he came from some innate part of the original Rudy's personality. Both One and Too would be terrified of encountering their dark doppleganger again.
Cheerleaders — Yes, really. I know this is way too specific to be applied across the game, but I couldn't get through this section without mentioning it. Anyway, if there happen to be any shapeshifting monsters around.....
